Onsold homeowners can now apply for government payment
Homeowners of over-cap onsold properties in Canterbury can now apply for an ex-gratia Government payment to have their homes repaired.
On 15 August 2019, the Government announced a policy to enable owners of on-sold properties to claim the cost of repairs of their properties through a scheme administered by EQC.
For those homeowners with onsold claims registered with GCCRS, your case manager will be in touch to work you through what this announcement means for your individual property.
GCCRS see this policy as a positive step, and look forward to helping homeowners bring claim their claim to conclusion.
For more information on the new policy can be found on the EQC website.
